This morning, I received a disappointingly cheap looking skirt that I bought off The Scarlet Room, which under great lighting, the use of an iron - looked extremely cute on the site. I bought it on impulse and the package arrived today. After ripping off the envelope, it looked nothing like what I was promised in the picture. Instead, it looks like a sad piece of low-quality cloth, it was as if TSR couldn't wait to get rid of their dead stock. I feel cheated. It's like seeing/watching those L'Oreal or Maybelline's advertisements, swearing to extend your lashes by 50%, volumizing it till it looks like a fuzzy caterpillar and it only costs $19.90. Finally, a solution to your sparse Asian lashes without spending 2 months' worth of allowance on pricey branded makeup products. You buy the product, rip the packaging out excitedly to get that bad-ass looking lashes you just saw on Aishwarya Rai- and then realise that you have just wasted $19.90 and that search for that mascara that made such a daring claim. It's so disappointing. You're even more angry at yourself for being so naive, to be sucked into believing the manipulated results they claim to give.
That said, I just bought a Guess metallic jacket for a steal for only US$22 with shipping fees. I hope this doesn't disappoint to make me feel cheated again.
