OUTFOXED.

I've just watch OUTFOXED: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism and damn it, I'm never gonna watch Fox News ever again. Some biased media organisation. It's sad to know that there are still people consuming news that might not be proven, might not even be backed up by any analytical reports, misinterpreted and biased.

Those who are interested in the movie, I happened to found the whole movie on Google. Catch it. We need the truth especially since we have the right to, as the public. It's a damn good documentary because it actually enlightens you about the issues former FNC (Fox News Channel) contributors/employees/anchor blah blah have to deal with. Oh, and O'Reily is a fuck head.

It's kinda scary to know that this will be what I'll be dealing with in the future. I'll never ever believe that 'people say' is really what 'people say' because they are just biased and might just be the anchor's own POV. I don't know how I'll deal with this in real life. I mean ideally and realistically speaking, is a whole different matter. I wonder if Singapore's media is like that.

Maybe it is. Sucks that I'm still taking all the biased shit anyway.

It's all so grey. I always have this constant and ongoing debate in my head that facts is so hard to define and that it is so difficult to try to find and point out what is right. And how facts can be played around in different situational contexts to misinterpret the real meaning of it while still being the truth.

The line is blurred when it comes to what 'right' really is I feel because at the end of the day, it really really depends on who you are as a person with regards to your principles. And you would be in a whole lot of trouble with yourself if you put aside your principles just to get on with your 9-6 job (which was what we discussed about during school the other day).

It really scares me man. What if the papers are not reporting what they really are reporting? That all news are selective, only the people in the newsroom have the power to decide what is to be seen on your Straits Times, Newpaper, Berita Harian, Tamil Murasu?

Of course, then comes in Singapore's government. I'm quite irate actually, to know that there isn't alot of media freedom when it comes to Singapore's media.

Wow. I actually have a post about journalism. Wow, I'm actually learning something from RP. CB, I'm so happy.
